Your fullness bar goes down every one or two hours, so eat Indigo wild grasses often until you learn to cook. Heart-shaped wild grasses help replenish Fullness.So it's better to go to bed with low stamina than eat just before bed save your food/grasses for tomorrow. Though as long as you go to bed by 5:50 am, you'll wake up at 6:00 am with replenished (mostly) stamina. After midnight, tool use will reduce Stamina more quickly. Keep one grass in your bag, but don't be afraid to eat the rest, or give as gifts to Taro.

Purple gives the same fullness, but less stamina. Blue (light blue) gives slightly more stamina, but leaves you hungry. I prefer Indigo, since they're a balance of +STA and +FUL. If you haven't finished working but you're getting faint, restore stamina by eating heart-shaped wild grasses. Don't till more soil than that, at first. This means that you can only water up to three plots on a sunny day. Use of any tool requires 3 Stamina at the start of the game, but one extra if it's sunny. And since I'm low on stamina early in the game, I don't recommend smashing rocks yet, anyway store them all as whole round rocks. The Supply Shed you start with can hold only lumber, so don't try putting rocks, Stone, or anything else in it. It doesn't sell for much, and your shed can't hold it yet. You could use your hammer on rocks to turn them into Stone, but leave it in your rucksack. Rather than pick up branches, use your axe on them, and store the Lumber in your shed. If you have stamina left after watering your crops, you can gather building material from the rocks and branches lying around.Spend the afternoons visiting the villagers and foraging for seaweed, flowers, wild grasses, and weeds. Water them every day except when it rains. Hoe 3 plots of 3x3 squares and plant with turnip seeds.Grass-looking weeds and flowering weeds are inedible and have the same value. I stack all Rank A flowers together, and keep Rank B flowers in a separate stack, but don't know whether than improves the sale values.

You can stack items of similar value to free up space in your bag the attributes average, so a Rank C item added to a stack of Rank B items will likely become Rank B.See the Values chart below to learn what to do with the items you find the first few weeks.

Buy a medium rucksack (3000 G) as soon as possible, so you can hold more items.

Since Purple Wild Grass is less helpful than Indigo and Blue for stamina replenishment, I chose to give Taro purple. See the Relationship chart for everyone's favorite and least favorite gifts. To get it, give Taro something nice 5 days in a row.

Collect Seaweed from the large boulder on the beach, preferably early in the morning, and ship it (your shipping bin or Taro's selling it to Chen yields less money).

Although tutorials do not take any time from your regular day, any activities you perform in the course of the tutorial WILL consume energy, so limit tool use.

Clear your field completely during Noe's tutorial, and ship what you collect.
